With over a decade of experience in behavioral health agencies and hospital settings, I have a deep understanding of the importance of promoting holistic well-being in individuals. Through my practice, I've seen how difficulties related to substance use, mental health, and physical health can impact individuals, families, and their relationships. Additionally, I recognize the complexity of sexuality and how issues surrounding sexual dysfunction and sexuality are often neglected or not prioritized.
My approach to therapy is integrative, combining a social justice and systems lens with a brain-based approach. I use evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to help clients make measurable changes by addressing their cognitive distortions. In therapy, I guide clients in targeting the prefrontal cortex and implementing strategies to address subcortical regions of the brain and their own trauma or stress-related symptoms.
With a focus on helping clients achieve lasting change, I work to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where they feel empowered to address their challenges and reach their goals.
